Lionspeed GP is set to continue its already historical GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season with the second round of the Sprint Cup season at Misano. Fresh off a historic victory in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, the team will look to defend its championship lead in the sprint series at the world-famous MotoGP venue.

Bastian Buus (DEN) and Ricardo Feller (CHE) return to the cockpit of the mint-liveried No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo. The car, proudly supported by Potentia, a North American-based developer of next-generation industrial and AI infrastructure, has become both a rapid fan favorite and an undeniable contender in the world’s most competitive GT3 championship.

Just a handful of weeks ago, Buus and Feller, together with Thomas Preining (AUT), delivered a truly historic victory at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, putting Lionspeed GP’s name into the history books and proving without any doubt that the team belongs at the upper echelons of GT3 racings.

Now, the team turns its attention back to the Sprint Cup season, which kicked off in strong fashion at Brands Hatch in May when Buus and Feller laid down a dominant performance with a double pole position and race victory.

As a result, the No. 80 Porsche heads into the round at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli as the championship leader, which it will seek to defend across a pair of 60-minute races.

The opening race of the weekend on Saturday promised to be a special attraction, as it starts at 20:30 CEST in the evening and will finish under the cover of darkness. The second race is set for Sunday, starting at 14:30 CEST. Both races, as well as the preceding qualifying sessions, will be streamed live on the GT World YouTube channel.
