Lionspeed GP is thrilled to welcome newly crowned Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Flynt Schuring (NED) to its ranks for the upcoming GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup round at Zandvoort. Schuring will make his debut in an additional entry, teaming up with DTM regular Nicolas Baert (BEL).

Schuring made history last month when, at 20 years and 11 days old, he became the youngest-ever overall champion in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup history. That achievement came a year after he won the Rookie title in the same championship, further cementing his meteoric rise up the Porsche ladder system.

Now, Lionspeed GP is excited to welcome Schuring for the next major step in his racing career, as he debuts in the world’s most competitive GT3 championship aboard the No. 89 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo for the Sprint Cup round at Zandvoort on September 18-19.

Schuring will form a Silver Cup duo with Belgian racer Baert, who joins the team with his own impressive GT3 record. He currently competes in DTM with the Comtoyou Racing squad and won the Gold Cup title in Sprint Cup competition in 2023. Most recently, he secured a Silver Cup victory in the three-hour Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring.

Schuring and Baert will share driving duties aboard the No. 89 Porsche, decked out in Lionspeed GP’s trademark red and white color scheme and supported by long-time partners Manorhaven, Abacus Global Management, Staloc and Beyond Capital Partners.

By welcoming Schuring, Lionspeed GP follows its proven concept of supporting young talent through their development and allowing them to take their first steps in the world’s most competitive GT3 championship.

Bastian Buus (DEN), a winner of this year’s edition CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and an overall title contender in Sprint Cup, is also a former Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion and stepped up to GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS with Lionspeed GP in 2024.

Buus and regular teammate Ricardo Feller (CHE) will continue their title bid at Zandvoort aboard the No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo supported by Potentia, a North American-based developer of next-generation industrial and AI infrastructure.
