Lionspeed GP to fight for overall victory in 54th ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring

  • Lionspeed GP joins stacked SP9 field for endurance classic at Nürburgring Nordschleife
  • Laurens Vanthoor, Ricardo Feller and Laurin Heinrich to drive No. 24 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo
  • Team returns to N24 after a year’s absence as part of comprehensive GT3 program

After a year away, Lionspeed GP is back to taking on the world’s most challenging endurance race. The team will field an SP9 Pro entry in the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, piloted by a trio of world-class Porsche drivers.

It is impossible to tell the story of Lionspeed without the Nordschleife. It is here, at the legendary Green Hell, where the team was born and where it celebrated some of its greatest successes. The team is a two-time SP9 Pro-Am class winner in the Eifel endurance classic, taking home trophies in both 2020 and 2024. That latter win was a particular milestone, as it came amidst the team’s first season as an independent GT racing operation.

Since then, the team has continued to grow and has established an excellent track record as one of the fastest-rising operations in Porsche customer racing. This year, the team will take its involvement to the next step, representing the legendary Stuttgart marque in the ADAC Ravenol 24H Nurburgring.

This year’s Nürburgring 24 is set to attract unprecedented global attention, highlighted by the highly anticipated debut of four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen. His addition to the grid is set to position the event to become one of the most-watched endurance races in recent history,  bringing the Nürburgring firmly into the spotlight of the global Formula 1 fanbase. Following the completion of his Nordschleife Permit-A in Lionspeed’s Porsche Cayman in 2025, Verstappen is now set to compete in the SP9 Pro category in a Mercedes-AMG, further elevating the profile and competitiveness of an already stacked field that includes the No. 24 Porsche.

To tackle the N24, the team welcomes a world-class driver lineup to pilot the No. 24 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo as Laurens Vanthoor (BEL) and Laurin Heinrich (GER) join Lionspeed regular Ricardo Feller (CHE).

Vanthoor, a former overall winner at the N24, has established himself as one of the top endurance drivers of his generation through stints as a factory driver at both Audi and Porsche. His CV is as long as it is impressive and includes an FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar title and victories in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, Twelve Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Spa and Bathurst 12 Hour, amongst a number of other accolades.

Similarly to Vanthoor, Heinrich is currently a member of Porsche’s factory LMDh driver roster in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The 24-year-old came up through Porsche’s junior ladder system, won the Carrera Cup Deutschland title in 2022 and has since gone from strength to strength in international competition. So far this season, he has already taken outright victories in Daytona and Sebring.

Completing the lineup, Feller is another former N24 winner, having taken overall victory in 2024 – the same year Lionspeed triumphed in SP9 Pro-Am. The Swiss racer joined the Lionspeed family last year, showcasing his talent and raw speed in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

The No. 24 Porsche joins a stacked and highly competitive SP9 grid for the N24, which will also serve as the second round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. There, the team will seek to score as many points as possible to help Porsche reclaim the coveted manufacturer’s championship crown.
