- Lionspeed GP enters 24H Dubai with Porsche 911 GT3 R in the GT3 AM Class
- Middle Eastern enduro to serve as kickoff for packed 2026 season
- Gabriel Rindone joined by team newcomers Xavier Knauf, Gregory Servais and Andres Latorre
Lionspeed GP is kicking off the 2026 racing season in a big way with 24 hours of racing action. The team will field a GT3 entry in the Michelin 24H Dubai for the first time, welcoming in three new drivers.
The No. 89 Porsche 911 GT3 R will form part of a stacked top class at the Dubai Autodrome, which welcomes Dutch organiser Creventic’s flagship event for the 21st time. UAE based driver Gabriel Rindone will get back behind the wheel for his home race and share driving duties with Xavier Knauf, Gregory Servais and Andres Latorre. All three drivers make their Lionspeed debuts, but bring a wide background of sportscar racing experience.
Knauf and Servais, both hailing from Belgium, are set for their first race aboard the Porsche GT3 R. As a pairing, they gained GT3 experience in Audi machinery across a range of championships, including the Michelin 24H Series. Last year, they contested the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in a Pro-Am entry.
Latorre, meanwhile, has in the past mainly focused on prototype competition. He raced LMP3 cars in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series before embarking on a season of LMP2 competition in the European Le Mans Series in 2024. For Latorre 2025 was a groundwork year dominated by major test time in the LMP2. At the latter end of 2025 he made his latest GT3 appearance to date, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the Michelin 24H Barcelona.
The three drivers will have the benefit of significant track time to get to grips with the Porsche 911 GT3 R, with two separate track day sessions taking place across Thursday. The official track action then kicks off on Friday, including a three-part qualifying session and night practice.
The 21st running of the Michelin 24H Dubai kicks off Saturday at 13:00 local time. Lionspeed fans can watch the entire race live and for free on YouTube through the Creventic Motorsports TV YouTube channel.
